PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize communication with simple constitution having an electrooptical conversion function for a repeater device, to facilitate a communication system and to reduce the cost by providing idle serial bus line detection/ collision detection functions for the serial communication equipment of a bus transmission system using an optical fiber cable. SOLUTION: Transmission data inputted to the serial communication equipment is accumulated in a buffer 1 and the non-signal state of a bus line 13 is recognized by a transmission controller 2. The transmission data is transmitted to the bus line 13 through a transceiver 12 and is latched by a latch 4. At the same time, a comparator 6 compares received data latched by a received data latch 8 with transmission data in the latch 4 based on a clock generated in a clock generation circuit. When both data are equal, transmission is set to be normal. When they are not equal, the occurrence of collision on the bus line is considered. Then, a signal is transmitted to the transmission controller 2 and the output of transmission data is interrupted. The non signal state on the bus line is recognized after prescribed time and the signal is transmitted again. |
