<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyed object turning device to turn a conveyed object, such as a boom efficiently and reliably, rectangular in cross section from a horizontal arrangement state to a vertical arrangement state. SOLUTION: A conveyed object turning device 4 is so formed that a conveyed object W being conveyed in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction thereof over a conveyance surface with the direction of width situated on the down side is turned approximately in a 90 deg. arc on the conveyance surface such that the direction of thickness is situated on the under side and an undermentioned factor is provided. (1) a support member 33 receives conveyed object W being conveyed and supports it from below, (2) A press member 35 causes the object W to be conveyed to make contact with the support member 33 and holds the object W to be conveyed in coordination with the support member 33. (3) Rotary mechanisms 43 and 44 turns the conveyed object W on the conveyance surface in a way that the support member 33 and the press member 35 are integrally rotated togetherwith the conveyed object W.</p> |
