PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a window to be completely closed, regardless of an increase in slide resistance due to the freezing or the like of the window, and cause the operator of a power window operation switch to recognize a related abnormal state, upon the failure of a pulse generator itself. SOLUTION: This control device has a central processing circuit 3A for detecting the open/close positions of a window, and the catch of a foreign material with the window from pulse signals outputted from a pulse generator 2 jointed to a power window motor 1. The central processing circuit 3A has a function to release the function of detecting the catch of a foreign material over the first time T1, when a power window operation switch 3B is operated continuously over the second time T2, and a function to control the power window motor 1 in such a mode as not corresponding to the operation of the power window operation switch 3B, so as to report a failure state via the behavior of the power window motor 1, upon the detection of the failure of the pulse generator 2. |
