PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system that is installed outdoors, mainly on a road or in a park or a square in front of a station, etc. SOLUTION: This lighting system comprises a solar battery 1 converting solar energy into electric energy, a storage battery storing the electric energy, a light emitting part 3 providing night illumination using the stored electric energy, and a control board for controlling the operation of the light emitting part 3, and does not therefore require a commercial power supply, so it eliminates the need for wiring overhead cable or the like and for construction work for burying it and is easy to install. Also, since a control box 4 holding the storage battery and the control board has the function of a bench and does not spoil the view, the lighting system is excellent in viewability, and if a pedestrian takes a rest at the site where the lighting system is installed, he/she can sit on the control box 4. |
