PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely transmit the voice output of information to a driver by stopping the voice output of an information receiver in accordance with the operation situation of a navigation device. SOLUTION: The navigation device 30 is provided with a function for originating a stop signal for stopping the voice output of information in the information receiver 2 to the information receiver 2 in accordance with the operation situation of the navigation device 30. In the information receiver 2, the necessity/ unnecessity of reading-out of character information is judged, and received character information is converted into voice and outputted when reading-out is necessary and a reading-out inhibition signal is not received from the navigation device 30. When the driver is concentrating has attention on a driving operation or he is required to concentrate on it, the output of character broadcasting by sound is stopped. Thus, sound output under a situation where the operator misses hearing and under a situation where he is difficult to recognize is prevented. |
