PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an admixture for a mortar/concrete capable of extremely simply utilizing incinerated ashes in various modes and the mortar/concrete using the admixture. SOLUTION: This admixture for a mortar/concrete is an incinerated ash, providing a 25wt.% slurry at pH>=5.0 and having <=10mS/cm electrical conductivity and the incinerated ash has the content of particles passing through a 45μm sieve is any one of the following corresponding to values of BET specific surface area of the particles: (1) <5wt.% at >=10m<2> /g value of the BET specific surface area, (2) <10wt.% at 5-10m<2> /g value of the BET specific surface area, (3) <13wt.% at 2.5-5m<2> /g value of the BET specific surface area, (4) <25wt.% at 1.2-2.5m<2> /g value of the BET specific surface area and (5) <36wt.% at <1.2m<2> /g value of the BET specific surface area.
