Water-soluble, pressure-sensitive adhesive with high temp. interlaminar shear strength contains (a) 100 pts.wt. water-soluble copolymer of 50-85 wt.% vinylcarboxylic acid(s), 15-50 wt.% tackifying 2-12C alkyl (meth)acrylate, 0-20 wt.% OH-contg. (meth)acrylate(s) and 0.05-15 wt.% polymerisable photoinitiator(s); (b) 50-150 pts.wt. water-soluble plasticiser(s) of the polyoxyalkylene gp. with a mol.wt. up to 2000; (c) 0-35 pts.wt. tackifying resin contg. COOH and/or OH gps.; (d) 1-20 pts.wt. amine contg. OH gps.; and (e) 0.05-10 pts.wt. crosslinker reacting with the COOH gps. of the water-soluble copolymer. Also claimed is a method of making the adhesive. |
