PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate spot photometry in a finder, even if a finder screen is used by identifying the kind of installed finder screen and changing the photometric range in the field to be photographed in accordance with the result of the identification. SOLUTION: A program is started at the time of setting a spot photometry mode and a photometric value is inputted from a photometric sensor 6. Then, the finder screen installed in a camera body 10 is identified with a discriminating signal from a screen discriminating part 8. In the finder screen not having a split prism and a micro prism, the photometric value is calculated and an exposure value is decided with the photometric value. Further, in the finder screen having the split prism or the micro prism, the average value of the photometric values is calculated and logarithmically transformed to calculated the photometric value in a spot photometry region. Then, the exposure value is decided with the photometric value and the spot photometric region is made wider than normal region. |
