Image error correction system for diagnostic X-ray appts

The image error correction system corrects the image errors caused by the memory effect of the photodiode array of the solid-state detector upon switching from an operating mode with a high radiation dosage to an operating mode with a low radiation dosage, using a correction image subtracted from the detector image. The correction image is obtained from the detector image immediately before or after the mode switching weighted according to a decay curve measured before the switching.
