A sealing, trimming or guiding strip (10) comprises a soft tubular portion (12) to be secured to a mounting surface such as a rigid frame (14) around a door opening in a motor vehicle body. A plurality of clips (16) are positioned at predetermined intervals along and extend substantially perpendicularly away from the underside of the strip (10). Each clip comprises a head (18) having two arms (20,22) extending outwardly therefrom. Each arm (20,22) is formed with a slit (40) extending partway only through its thickness. These slits (40) facilitate bending of the arms (20,22) so as to enable the head (18) of each clip (16) to pass freely through a mounting hole (26) in the frame (14). Thereafter, the arms (20,22) resile outwardly and resist removal of the strip (10) from the mounting surface (14). <IMAGE> |
