摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To permit an inexpensive and efficient desulfurization and denitrification making up for the disadvantage of each device by installing an electric desulfurization-denitrification device upstream of an active carbon type desulfurization-denitrification device. CONSTITUTION:In a n-sec pulse charging desulfurization-denitrification device 3 having a discharge electrode and a grounding electrode for permitting the application of a pulse voltage having a pulse width of 1-1000nsec, SO2 and NOx in exhaust gases are partially ionized and oxidized by an electric means and further made to react with the ammonia which has previously been added to the exhaust gases to form ammonium sulfate and ammonium nitrate, which are then collected by a dust collecting device 5. Ammonia is poured into the gas emitting from the dust collecting device and the resulting mixed gas is introduced into an active carbon type desulfurization-denitrification device 4 having a moving bed of active carbon. As a result, the desulfurization and denitrification can be effected inexpensively and efficiently with the disadvantage of each device made up for.</p>
