<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card reader writer which surely detects a contact error of a contact part coming into contact with an integrated circuit mounted on an IC card and performs a proper process before an error occurs in the IC card. SOLUTION: While a reset signal supplied to the reset terminal RST of the integrated circuit 21 mounted on the IC card 20 through the contact part 11 is controlled to a low level, a clock signal for the integrated circuit which is supplied to the clock terminal CLK of the integrated circuit 21 through the contact part 11 is controlled to the low level, and then electric power for the integrated circuit is supplied to the power terminal Vcc of the integrated circuit 21 through the contact part 11 and a comparator 16 compares the voltage outputted from the input/output terminal I/O of the integrated circuit 21 through the contact part 11 at this time with a specified reference level, detecting a contact error of the contact part 11 when the voltage outputted from the input/ output terminal I/O is lower than a specified reference level.</p> |
