PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a filter section from being saturated and clogged in a short time and reduce frequency of required cleaning and make it possible to effectively remove weak magnetic suspended particles by connecting in a communicating manner a downstream side of a branched pipe to a treating cylinder having a filter section consisting of a ferromagnetic member and disposed in a ferromagnetic field space. SOLUTION: Ferromagnetic particles 9 such as an iron oxide, magnetic block and the like, which are heavily included in a suspension 7 are removed in advance by a magnetic field gradient formed in a first treating cylinder 5, and primarily a comparatively small amount of weak magnetic particles 26 are separated and removed by a filter section 22. Therefore, the filter section 22 is not saturated or clogged in a short time. Because the filter section 22 primarily separates and removes weak magnetic particles, the weak magnetic particles can be very effectively separated and removed. Frequency of cleaning the filter section 22 is reduced and a variety of suspending particles can be economically separated and removed and performance of separating and removing is improved. |
