In pasteboard enclosed or coated on both sides with a coextruded, non-oriented film or sheet of synthetic material contg. a polyolefin, esp. polyethylene, and opt. bonded with the card by a melt-bonding or adhesive layer, the film or sheet is a composite film in which (a) the upper layer comprises 20-90 wt.% of polyethylene and 80-10% of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene/vinyl acetate/CO terpolymer, polyamide, chlorinated polyethylene, modified ethylene/propylene/diene polymer, ethylene/acrylic acid (or ester) co- or ter-polymer, maleic anhydride terpolymer and/or cellulose acetobutyrate, opt. with processing aids, additives, fillers and/or pigments, and (b) the lower layer comprises a polymer, co-, ter- and/or graft polymer, or polymer mixt. or alloy contg. polar gps. opt. with processing aids, additives, fillers and/or pigments. Edges of the film or sheet extending beyond the pasteboard have a high-frequency weld. USE - The pasteboard is used in organisers and ring-books and other office equipment.
