PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive, small-sized. and selfaligning optical transmission module which secures the alignment precision among optical fibers, an optical path conversion face, and an optical element and is superior in productivity. SOLUTION: This module is provided with an optical fiber holding member 101 and an optical element member 102 where plural optical elements 110 are formed, and this holding member is provided with optical fibers 103, fiber fixing grooves 104, and a slope 105 which is formed together with fiber fixing grooves 104 as one body and converts optical paths of emitted light from optical fibers 103. The optical fiber holding member 101 is provided with positioning members 107 to approximately prescribe the position of the optical element member 102 in the direction approximately parallel with optical fiber fixing grooves 104, and a prescribed part of the optical element member 102 is arranged on these positioning members 107, and a part of electrodes 106 on the optical fiber holding member 101 and a part of electrodes 111 of the optical element member 102 are electrically connected. |
