WASHING AND DRYING APPARATUS FOR FOLDING CAGE

A folding cage of a synthetic resin is dried after washing without the use of any hot air blower whereby reduction of a mechanical strength of the cage and thermal deformation of the cage are avoided. A folding cage (1) having been washed by a washing apparatus (400) is fed into a turn-over dewatering device (500). While the folding cage (1) is turned over by a conveying pawl (537), a template (539) abutting against the folding cage (1) from downward and inside brings the folding cage (1) into a vertical position to allow the same to fall shaking off a wash liquid therein, and pushes the folding cage (1) against a roller conveyor (513) on a turn-over outgoing side to cause the wash liquid on an outer surface of the folding cage (1) to be shaken off. Further, after the folding cages (1) are stacked by a stacking device (600), they are placed on respective stages (808) of a small-diameter turntable (802) of a centrifugal dehydrator (800), and are revolved by a centrifugal dehydrating station (804) at high speed to blow off the wash liquid due to centrifugal forces, so that the folding cages (1) are completely or substantially completely dried.
