The small masonry part used in a construction (B,B',B",B"') has a rectangular shape. It is placed with its lateral fitting face (1,1',1",1"') adjacent to a lateral fitting face (2,2',2",2"') of an identical unit. One of the faces (2) has two ribs (6,6') and the other face (1,1') has two external grooves (3) into which the ribs are fitted. The unit has several channels or cavities (9,9') which form with those of another adjacent unit air layers on their upper and lower surfaces. The faces (1,2') have a central groove (4,7') wider than the external grooves so as to form, with an identical adjacent unit, a central void (VC).
