<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding mechanism in which sheet feeding from a plurality of sheet storing sections is carried out by one hopping roller. SOLUTION: One end of an arm 22 rotatably arranged in respect to a device is fixed to a roller shaft 19 of a hopping roller 18 so as to enable a position of the hopping roller 18 to be varied as the arm 22 is rotated. When the hopping roller 18 is positioned at a position where a sheet 6 in a sheet feeding tray 16 is fed out, a driving force is transmitted from a driving source to a roller gear 29 for rotating the roller shaft 19 through a fourth idle gear 33, a third idle gear 32, a second idle gear 31 and a first idle gear 28, and in turn, when the hopping roller 18 is positioned at a location where a sheet in the option tray is fed out, the driving force is transmitted from the same driving source as the aforesaid driving source is transmitted to the roller gear 20 through the fourth idle gear 33.</p> |
