PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unnecessary jet of ink based on a cross stroke in an ink jet recording head using piezoelectric components. SOLUTION: A head 10 is provided with a channel plate 16 having a plurality of nozzles 28 and a plurality of ink cavities 26, an interstructure 18 formed in a manner of covering the ink cavities, vibration plates 20 provided with a plurality of piezoelectric components 42 facing respectively the ink cavities through the interstructure and a base plate 22 supporting the piezoelectric components. The value of the base plate 22 computed by multiplying its elasticity modulus by the thickness is approximately 9.0×10<3> (kgf/mm) or more.
