PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inorganic hardened product having a glassy layer high in surface hardness, low in water absorption and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: This method for producing an inorganic hardened product comprises setting a mold in a mold frame, pouring a hardening inorganic composition comprising SiO2 -Al2 O3 powder and an aqueous alkali metal silicate solution into the mold, thermally hardening the poured mixture, and subsequently demolding the hardened molded product. In order to converting only the surface of the inorganic hardened product into a glassy layer, the mold frame is preferably heated, before the hardening inorganic composition is poured into the mold, or the hardening inorganic composition is poured into the mold, after the mold frame is put on a heating plate. |
