The present invention relates to a plane insertion plug for a cable or similar electric contact comprising a plane stud (3) having an insertion gap (11) which is formed from a base plate (8) and a pair of elevated lateral walls (9) in an opposite relationship with each other, wherein the plane stud (3) can be inserted into a first end, wherein free margins (10) of the lateral walls (9) are rounded over the base plate (8) at least on one side thereof so as to obtain a linear contact at the upper end of the plane stud (3), and a pair of notches (14) parallelly disposed with each other in the insertion field (11) and adjacent the base plate (8), for linear contact with the plane stud (3) as well as a blocking device (5, 13), is formed as a whole by a fastening nose (5) with a casting (4) in the plane stud (3). For the purpose of achieving an economical manufacturing of the plane insertion plug, which makes it possible to have a reliable contact having a reduced insertion force, it is suggested that the fastening nose (5) is included in an regulation wedge inwardly bent in the insertion gap which is formed by two parallel cuts (12a, 12b) and that the base plate (8) be configured in the field of the regulation wedge (13) formed by both cuts (12a, 12b) and having a reduced material strength so as to increase spring elasticity of said regulation wedge (13).
