摘要 The device for measuring large planar surface areas intended for topographic measurements and constructions consists of a central unit [1] which takes over, in an arbitrarily chosen system of reference, information about the absolute value of the equal linear segments which approximate the contour of the measured surface area. The angles are measured by means of a gyroscopic device [4], which activates an angle transducer [5] decoded in a decoding device [6]. The moment of reading the angles corresponding to the end of an elementary shift having the value of a shift increment are sensed by a device for measuring the shifts [7] and a shift transducer [8]. The signals are decoded in another decoding device [9], which delivers an impulse for each increment of shift to the central unit [1], which calculates the coordinates of the points of polygon whose sides are equal to the shift increment. The surface areas of the trapezoids, obtained by dividing the measured areas by approximation which add up to the surface area of the planar surface to be measured, are displayed on a display device [3] and the commands are received from a keyboard [2].
