This invention refers to an accurate and repeatable method for determining the content of spirulina in dry biomass in the growth medium, a method that, after a preliminary filtering, uses for washing an isotonic aqueous solution with the spirulina cytoplasmatic content and which, by leaching during filtering, allows the removal of the inert constituents based on calcium and magnesium carbonates from the biomass.
