PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find a necessary stop position and stop a moving body while discriminating many points individually with a detection head for one track. SOLUTION: This fixed position stopping device discriminates that the moving body is going to pass to position of one discriminated plate by detecting the magnetic plate 51 of the discriminated plate by a proximity detecting means 21 of the detection head for the discriminated plate when the detection head 2 of the moving body passes the position of the discriminated plate 5 installed on a fixed-body side during movement to the fixed body. At the same time, a discriminator detecting means 22 of the detection head 2 comes close to an unpowered ID chip 52 of the discriminated plate 5 to receive a specific discrimination code sent by the unpowered ID chip 52 and a passing position specifying means 25 specifys which position of the discriminated plate the moving body is going to according to the discrimination code and outputs a stop command for the moving body when the position is a corresponding position.
