A product to prevent the rise in alcohol in the blood by decreasing alcohol absorption and aiding its elimination comprises: (1) fructose, saccharose, or any sugar that enters the glycolysis cycle; (2) citric or pyruvic acid or a component of the Krebs' cycle; (3) optionally tryptophan (this component being added only if legislation allows its incorporation); (4) optionally orange or some other flavouring, or a plant extract such as chrysentellum americanum, fumitory, fennel, lime blossom, or black radish; and (5) optionally water. |
