PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error in objective range instruction and to improve operability even when an objective range in erroneously designated and even when the objective range is superimposed on a window by displaying the recognition image of the objective range after the objective range is designated. SOLUTION: A system is constituted of an input device 1 such as a keyboard, a display device 2 such as CRT, an editing and proofreading means 3 for a document, an objective range selecting means 4, a display range changing means 5 and an objective range confirming means 6. That is, by an objective range designating method of simultaneously selecting the objective range and designating a position, the editing and proofreading means 3 designates the objective range and, after that, the objective range confirming means 6 being a processing step including the objective range selecting means 4 and the display range changing means 5 is additionally provided for objective range confirmation. Thus, the designation range is not superimposed on the window of a function to be executed and the objective range is surely confirmed. When the designation range exceeds a max. display possible size, the display range changing means 5 confirms the designition of the objective range and a start/end point positions. |
