The following is claimed: purified form of streptogramins comprising a combination of (a) one or more bp. B components of streptogramins of formula (I), and (b) one or more gp. A minority components of streptogramins of formula (II), in the form of cocrystallisate, a coprecipitate or a finely divided physical mixt. A1 = a gp. of formula (i), (ii) or (iii); R" = H, Me or Et; when A1 is a gp. of formula (i) or (ii): R' = H or OH; Y = H, MeNH or Me2N; R = Et, or when R' is H, may also be Me; R1, R2 = H; or when A1 is a gp. of formula (iii) R = isobutyl; R1 = OH; and R2 = Me.
