PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a line to be displayed from becoming too thin by clarifying procedure for obtaining gradation from an area ratio of common parts between a dot and the inside of an outline. SOLUTION: An outline development part 2 inputs a prescribed development size through a size input part 3, and varies power read in outline information to the inputted size to develop it as the outline. Then, an area ratio measuring part 4 calculates the area of the common part between the developped outline and respective dots, and calculates the ratio that the dots are incorporated in the outline by dividing the area of the common part with the area of the dots. Then, a gradation conversion part 5 inputs the number of prescribed gradation through a number of gradation input part 6 to convert the calculated ratio to the gradation. In such a case, the gradation conversion part 5 converts the area ratio (d) into the gradation (g) by mapping of g=F(d) for the area ratio imparted from the area ratio measuring part 4. Where, the mapping F is 0<=g<=G-1 for a defined area 0<=d<=1. |
