Sealing joint for header pipes in concrete sewerage systems

A thrust collar (3) made of metal or hard plastics connects between the pipe joints (1,1') and their flush mounting flangeways (2) and surrounds both sides of the symmetric casing halves. The two casing halves are vulcanized together on their facing edges (6,6'). The annular rib shafts engage in the flangeways where they tighten and seal against there sealing lips (7) and ridges (8). The vulcanised edges shield the sealing joint against aggressive attack from within and from ground water from outside. The jacket of the thrust collar engages the inner pockets (9), which become clamped flat in their inserted condition.
