A disabling device for an electrical apparatus

The invention is intended to disable a range of electrical apparatus which receive electricity via a power plug (20). The device comprises a lockable container (10) adapted to receive a power plug (20) therein. The container (10) defines an enclosure (30) and is provided with a lock (40). When the power plug (20) is positioned and locked within the container (10), the electrical apparatus is disabled by virtue of its power plug (20) being disabled from being inserted into an electrical power socket. The invention also relates to a method of using a lockable container (10) to disable an electrical apparatus.
