PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the functions of sterilizing, deodorizing and preventing pollution of air in a room without supping special energy by providing an air flow passage with the function of purifying air by arranging a member on which an amorphous titanium dioxide thin film. SOLUTION: A filter 3 is arranged on the back side of a cover 1 arranged in the front of an air conditioner body 2. Air in a room is sucked in by a fan and is passed through the cover 1 and is stripped of dirt, waste fiber or the like by the filter 3, and then it undergoes temperature change and is discharged again into the room from a diffuser 6. When foul air in the room is sucked into the air conditioner body 2 through the cover 1, it is purified by the function of sterilizing, deodorizing and preventing pollution of air due to the photocatalystic action of amorphous titanium dioxide. The member on which an amorphous titanium dioxide thin film H is formed is preferably arranged in a cover 1 or (and) in a part of the diffuser 6 as a region most receiving the effect of ultraviolet rays. |
