LENS TYPE FUNCTIONAL RETROREFLECTIVE SHEETING AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME

A lens-type functional retroreflecting sheet having a retroreflecting region and a visual function exhibiting region, and comprising a substrate sheet which includes a supporter having a functional resin layer containing a phosphorescent or fluorescent functional pigment, a minute ball lens burying region where minute ball lenses are buried in the surface of the functional resin layer in such a way that the minute ball lenses are densely arranged and form a single layer, and a minute ball lens non-burying region where the minute ball lens is substantially not buried and the functional resin layer is exposed; a transparent protective film which is provided above the minute ball lens side surface of the substrate sheet; and a junction part where the substrate sheet and the transparent protective film are partially joined together. The lens-type functional retroreflecting sheet provides an excellent visual recognizability for a recognizer on the light source side such as a car driver and, further, provides the excellent visual recognizability for a recognizer on the side opposite to the light source side such as a pedestrian at night.
