<p>After recognising the peculiarities of the combination of the capillary intake properties of superabsorptive powders, it is possible to obtain some powders which provide both very high non-aqueous liquid absorption and the excellent mechanical properties of corresponding gels by mixing powders which each offer one of these characteristics at the highest level.
