PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data receiver which can perform arctangent calculation in delay detection on a small circuit scale. SOLUTION: This data receiver is provided with absolute value calculating means 11 and 13 which calculate the absolute values of inputted vector components Ax and Ay , a subtracting means 14 which calculates the difference between the absolute values, a quadrant calculating means 18 which detects the quadrant that the vector having the vector components Ax and Ay belongs to, and a converting means 15 which converts the subtraction result of the subtracting means, by reflecting the detection result of the said quadrant calculating means. Consequently, arctangent operation can be performed, without using a multiplier, a table, etc. |
