PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To periodically remove contamination being adhered on a thermal head by a method wherein a low energy which is zero, or not higher than a specified value is applied to a thermal, head every time when a specified number of recording images are formed, and the thermal head is cleaned by outputting a thermosensible recording material. SOLUTION: This thermosensible recording device 10 outputs by recording nothing on a thermosensible film A every time when a specified number, e.g. 100 sheets, etc., of images are recorded. Or, an image of a specified density is recorded on the thermosensible film A, and is output, and by doing so, the thermosensible recording device 10 is equipped with a cleaning mode wherein the thermosensible film A is output as a cleaning film to clean a thermal head 66. In this case, under the cleaning mode, a low energy which is not higher than a specified value, is applied to the thermal head 66, i.e., the thermal head 66 is heated to a specified low temperature or lower, and the total surface of the thermosensible film A is recorded into a transmissible density (OD)=0.7, and is output. |
