In the folded condition the device has dimensions only slightly larger than those of the enclosed collection. In the unfolded condition (as depicted) it presents two windows (2a,2b) for the reader's eyes. A mirror (3) fixed to a system of jointed flaps (1a,1b) reflects the inverted left-hand image (4) superimposed on the right-hand one (5). The reader sees immediate stereoscopic fusion of the two images, with the margins on either side of the fold outside the field of vision. The right-hand margin may carry printed text. The positions of the pages (6), which the reader can turn easily, are determined by wedges (7a-7d).
