Road metalling spray vehicle

The spray has a feed for glass fibres (1) to a liquid and projecting these in a cloak of hydrocarbon liquid binder. It has a cutter for the fibres, an atomiser for the liquid additives and nozzles for projection of compressed air to disperse the fibres. The spray of chopped glass fibres is projected obliquely on a convex vertical surface (7). The air nozzles cause the projection and the separation of chopped fibres. The operation of the atomisers of the treatment liquid is dependent on that of the fibre chopper.
