<p>An exercise apparatus provides free weight-like exercices, without the inconvenience and dangers of free weights, and highly compact storage. The apparatus includes a barbell (13) connected between pull-lines (15) of independent weight stack units (9) and otherwise free of supporting structure. The rest positions of the ends of the pull-lines are vertically adjustable. The weight stack units are mounted on rails (7) so as to be selectively movable between storage (Fig. 8) and use (Fig. 7) positions. In the storage position, the units form a storage space (91) that accommodates a collapsible support bench (81).</p> |
