The invention discloses a system providing protection against the theft of an object (13), the said system being located in a passageway and comprising: means for remote querying of electronic modules (10, 11) containing respectively an "object" identification code (vi) of an object (13), or a "person" identification code (pi) of a person in possession of an object; these means being capable of receiving the code emitted by each of these; a control module (18) linked to the said remote querying means (14, 15; 14', 15'; 16, 17; 16', 17'), capable of receiving these identification codes and carrying out matching of the "object" and "person" codes received and sanctioning the detection of an "object" code unaccompanied by the corresponding "person" code. |
