Torque transmission system controller for drive train of motor vehicle

The transmission system is inserted between the engine (100) and a gearbox (103) driving a differential (104) between the driven wheels (106). It is fixed to a flywheel (102a) carrying starter pinion teeth (102b). A pressure plate (102d) is driven axially towards a clutch plate (102d) by a spring washer (102f). A control unit (107) instigates a forward creep movement with gear engaged and brakes and accelerator pedal released, setting the clutch torque to a predetermined value. When the accelerator pedal is depressed the torque is increased to an extent causing the vehicle to move positively forward.
