PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the magnetism of a magnetic marker provided on a road surface to precisely detect the position of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A plurality of magnetic sensors 10 are laterally provided on a vehicle to detect the horizontal magnetic field intensity of the magnetic fields of a magnetic nail 10 provided on a road surface. The intensity zero point is calculated from the distribution shown by the horizontal magnetic field intensity, and the distance between the vehicle central line and the zero point is taken as the slippage of the vehicle from the magnetic nail 100. Since the slippage is determined from the horizontal magnetic field distribution, the use of a map of slippage using horizontal magnetic field intensity and vertical magnetic field intensity as variables is dispensed with. |
