摘要 Process for the heat treatment of a pulverulent material wherein is provided an area having a length L inside the kiln and wherein prevail predetermined temperature and thermal tension conditions by supplying a gas flow at the discharge end. The material is supplied through one end of the kiln drum and the cascade movement of the material within the drum generates the decantation and separation of the pulverulent material from the exhaust gas. The filling coefficient PHI of the cross section of the drum with pulverulent material is selected while satisfying simultaneously the following relationships: 1) 0.06 < PHI < PHI limit; 2) PHI < Kmax OMEGA /(60 gamma q), wherein PHI limit is the limit value of the filling coefficient corresponding to the depression of the cataract regime: Kmax is the limit value of the thermal tension within the drum;: OMEGA is the feed time of the material through the area L; gamma is the bulk material density within the drum; q is the specific consumption of heat energy. Application to the production of clinker in the cement industry.
