Front gripper drive arrangement for page printing machine

The arrangement includes a controlled drive (2) which supplies energy to a front gripper (1) depending on its position. The gripper is mechanically coupled with a main drive cord (3) of the printing machine, and the controlled drive covers essentially the variable energy requirements of the gripper. The controlled drive operates preferably on the control shaft (4) for the curve control mechanism (5) of the gripper, and deprives the gripper of kinetic energy depending on its position.
