<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an anti-inflammatory agent excellent in anti-inflammatory effect while manifesting low side effects and to provide blood bag for treatment of inflammatory disease and therapeutic device for treatment of inflammatory disease using the anti-inflammatory agent. SOLUTION: Chitosan and/or chitosan derivative is used as the active ingredient. Chitosan is a polysaccharide(poly-β-D-glucosamine) having the structure in which the D-glucosamine obtained by deacetylation of the acetylamino group of the naturally-occurring chitin polymer, is forming a (1→4) glucoside bond. The chitosan derivative obtained by introducing a primary amine group to the amino group of the chitosan, is preferred. The methods contacting this anti-inflammatory agent with blood, for example, are charging the collected blood of a patient to the bag filled with the anti-inflammatory agent to induce the anti-inflammatory effect in the patient's blood, etc. The effective temperature contacting this anti-inflammatory agent with blood is in the range of 20-42 deg.C. The preferable contact time is 5min to 5hr.</p> |
