The invention relates to single-shot rocket nozzles consisting of a silicon carbide wall surrounding the gas flow, a supporting body made of a material having less temperature and oxidation resistance, such as phenol graphite and an interposed wholly anisotropic layer whose capability to withstand compression stress is less in the radial direction than in the tangential or axial direction, preferably for those rocket nozzles which are used only once.
