<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the molding property of a reinforced insulator and the production efficiency of a molding machine, and also, shorten the heating time in the power cable connection process, and besides, raise the mechanical strength at the interface between the insulator of the power cable and the reinforced insulator, in the manufacture of a reinforced insulator for a block mold joint. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of a reinforced insulator for a block mold joint which is manufactured of material including synthetic resin and a crosslinking agent for crosslinking that synthetic resin before the connection process of a power cable 2 and besides is heated and crosslinked in the connection process of the power cable 2 and also is fused together with the insulator 2a at the connection end of the power cable 2, a molded item in the shape of an reinforced insulator is manufactured by fusing and molding the material not containing only the crosslinking agent out of the finally mixed material of the reinforced insulator 4, and then the crosslinking agent is added to that molded item.</p> |
