PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the residual oxygen and nitrogen by adding a thermoplastic binder to an alloy powder contg. an R-Fe-B intermetallic compd. kneading it in an inert atmosphere and injection-forming a mold and heating to successively sinter it. SOLUTION: A metal powder contg. an R-Fe-B intermetallic compd. (R is one or more rare earth elements, including Y) is mixed with one or more of thermoplastic binders contg. no oxygen in molecular chains, including paraffin waxes, atactic polypropylene, polystyrene, polypropylene, polyethylene, amorphous polyolefin and naphthalene and the mixture is kneaded in an N, Ar or other inert atmosphere to avoid reaction with oxygen in the air. Then a mold is formed by the injection forming, debindered and sintered successively. |
