PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture storage device which can recover picture data that is continuously read at high speed even if PBM(print buffer memory) becomes a full state in any states. SOLUTION: When picture data of an original to an N-1-th page are stored and PBM becomes the full state in the middle of the reading of picture data of the original to an N-th page in the picture storage device, picture data on the N-th page is stored in page memories 119 and 120, the read operation of the original of N+1-th and subsequent pages is stopped. When PBM becomes idle, the transfer of picture data of the original on the N-page to PBM is resumed and the reading of the original of the N+1-th and subsequent pages is resumed. |
