PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To press the leads of a lead frame evenly and favorably. SOLUTION: A lead frame press device 20 of a structure, wherein a lead frame is pressed by a lead frame press 22 which is moved relatively to the lead frame 1 placed on a bonding stage 21, is one constituted into such a structure that flexible and deformable lead press members 24 are projected from a base 23 on the press 22 in the state corresponding to leads of the lead frame 1 and with press parts 25, which are respectively provided with each pressing surface of pressing surfaces 27 for pressing the leads of the lead frame 1 formed on the points of the members 24, reference parts 26 made to project from the members 24 toward the lead frame 1 are formed, reference surfaces 28 of these reference parts 26 are installed at positions alienated by a prescribed dimensionδfrom the pressing surfaces 27 of the press parts 25 toward the opposite direction to the lead frame 1 and moreover, the press 22 makes the surfaces 28 of the reference parts 26 make contact with the lead frame 1 to stop the relative movement of the press 22 to the lead frame 1.
