摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make image quality higher with excellent reproducibility in a fine line and without fogging with toner and the sticking of carriers and to prolong the lived of a latent image carrier and a developer by attaining contact two-component AC development using developing magnetic carriers whose resistance is actually high and magnetic force is low. SOLUTION: As the latent image carrier 2, a photoreceptor whose surface resistance is 1×10<10> -1×1016Ωsuch as an amorphous silicone photoreceptor is used. When the development is attained by the contact two-component AC developing system, the carriers constituted so that the resistivity of carrier cores constituting the developing magnetic carriers is >=1×10<10>Ωcm and the resistivity of coating carriers is >=1×10<12>Ωcm are used. Further, the number average grain diameters of the magnetic carriers are set 5-100μm and the distribution cumulative value of the diameter of half of the number average grain diameter is set <= several percent of 10 pieces. A developer magnetic brush 3 formed on a developer carrier 1 is brought into contact with the latent image carrier 2, to attain development while applying an alternating electric field.</p>
